My Dream Computer

I haven't owned an Apple computer since my family had an Apple IIe way back when (elementary school). But my dream computer is now the MacBook notebook from Apple.

I'm not sure why I like it so much. Maybe it just seems to be really "cool" and I want to be more hip. I think it also plays to my desire to be more artistic and creative (as if just getting the computer will help with that!). I've always wished I had more talent in something creative. Everyone tells me I'm smart and good at a number of things, but for some reason I really wish I could paint really well, or write really creative stories, or play an instrument or sing incredibly well, or take really inspiring photographs or whatever ... Why is this?

Iraq War Not Working

This report saying that the Iraq war has actually made terrorism worse really should come as no surprise to anyone. This has got to be the biggest F*** up of our time ... Why aren't we acting out like people did during Vietnam? I'm not really sure what I could be doing ... Any suggestions?

Han Ah Reum (HMart)

Hey everyone! I'm going to post some pictures of one of our favorite stores. It's called Han Ah Reum and it is a Korean/Asian/International food grocery store. It is fabulous and they have lots of great Japanese items.

Here is Chad standing in front of the store. Notice all the small signs to the top right of Chad. They have like 50 stores inside this building that offer all kinds of services all in Korean!






Here's a photo of Chad in the entry hallway of the store. In the back is a bakery called Papa's Bakery. They have some tasty stuff, including bubble tea (which I prefer without the bubbles!!).

So do Koreans really love buying in bulk or something? Here you can get tons of Bowl Ramen or small Soy Milk drinks.

Here's a photo of some tasty candy! Especially Choco Baby! This is quintessential Japanese.

Yay for Gyoza wrappers! I love making gyoza but I haven't done it in a while. Hopefully I'll make some soon. It's good to know I can go to my local Han Ah Reum and buy fresh wrappers (they are like 99 cents for a package). They also have fresh udon and ramen in this case.


Eggs, eggs, eggs and more eggs. I think these are quail eggs. They look pretty cool, but I think they taste gross!!



















Lots and lots of garlic + MSG = Really tasty, really addictive Korean food!!












This is one of our favorite aisles! You can buy great curry!! Chad made some yesterday and it is tasty!!

I hope you've enojoyed my little photo essay of the Han Ah Reum store by us. I skipped a couple good sections of the store, but I was trying to be discrete. I thought they might worry that I was stealing their secrets so I could open an asian food market of my own!!

One Watt Light Bulbs

One watt light bulbs sound great if they actually work and provide enough light. Any way we can find to reduce our usage of electricity is great. It's not only important to change the way we make electricity (for example, switching from coal to solar), it is also important to decrease our usage where possible. This helps put us in a more favorable energy situation.
